    Paul was born in Cape Town in 1959.  He matriculated at Thornton High where he studied commercial art.  Under the guidance of his father, Gordon Munro, Paul started painting and drawing from an early age.  Whilst he was a schoolboy, his paintings were displayed and sold by art galleries in Cape Town.

    Paul spends periods completely isolated from civilization, comparing the rhythmic forms of local landscapes and has developed a close emotional accord with nature and the skill needed to express these emotions. In his own words “if you want to paint a mountain you first have to climb it”. This adherence to factual truthfulness is a fruit Paul has treasured throughout his career.

    Public collection and commissions include Cape Town and East London, parliamentary members and various Ambassadorial Embassies, SA Police Reaction Headquarters, Cape Town.

    Paul is now residing in East London where he is prolifically painting landscapes, seascapes and figures.

  • Paul van Rensburg

    Paul was born in Queenstown, Eastern Cape in 1963. After completing school he moved to Cape Town to study art under the Master Watercolor Artist, Rob Robeck. He specialises in impressionistic oil paintings.  He is well known for his distinctive style, resulting from using knives, brushes and fingers as tools.

    Phillip was born in 1966 in Johannesburg.  After finishing school he studied under BE Britz and Alda van Biljon.  He is famous for his intricate style and impressionistic landscapes, locally and abroad.

    Riana showed artistic flair from an early stage and has been an active artist all her life. For the last 30 years she has been an active professional artist, and has developed a distinctive style. She primarily paints using the palette knife instead of brush, and her work is highly recognisable in her use of colour and application of paint. Her work has made its way to several countries like USA, Britain, Australia, Germany etc.

    Stan Polson was born in Reddersberg, South Africa in 1971 and grew up in Rustenburg and Pretoria. He is a self-taught acclaimed artist, known for his colourful, tranquil landscape scenes.

  • Ted Hoefsloot

    Ted Hoefsloot (1930 - 2013) was born in Amsterdam, Holland. He emigrated to South Africa in 1955. He is well known for his wildlife art and South African landscapes.

  • Thando Ngwenya

    Thando Makhosini Ngwenya was born in Amanzimtoti, Kwa-Zulu Natal in 1992. He moved to Soweto in 2002 and matriculated in 2010. He is now living in Meadowlands.

    He is a self taught artist, working predominantly in pen, ink and watercolours. Lately working in Acrylics.

    During the 2013 “Black Like Us” exhibition, he was nominated as the best newcomer in the watercolour category. He has exhibited with the Museum Africa, Nedbank, Liberty Life and the Watercolour Society.

    His works are sold both locally and internationally.

    SABC has done a documentary on him to inspire other young people.

     

     

  • Tina Swart

    Tina Swart is a 20th Century South African Artist known for her love of people and animals which she portrays in her paintings.

    She was born in Pongola situated in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.  In 1995 she started to pursue her dream of becoming an artist.

    "Ever since I can remember a blank sheet of paper inspired me, something that I can use to express myself.  I see my talent as a gift because I am mainly self-taught.  Hence the ‘Gratiam Domini’ that I sign below my name on my paintings. I was 11 years of age when I did my first portrait in pencil", says Tina.

    She now resides in Cape Town, where she plans to stay to her true calling – that of being an artist.
